Digital LED display pyrometer for rapid and accurate molten metal temperature measurement up to 1820°C.
The Universal Pyrometer is a microcontroller-based instrument for quick and accurate temperature measurement up to 1820°C. It measures temperature 25 to 30 times within a given period using thermocouple input, processing and displaying results on a large Red LED display.
Fabricated in high-grade MS Powder Coated (Grey) housing. Temperature visible from 150 to 200 metres. Available models: AUP500L, ASP500L, MFP200 (Universal) and GENIUS M2 & M4 (Dual Type).
Compact digital pyrometer with 2-inch display for panel mounting and space-constrained installations.
A compact microcontroller-based pyrometer designed for installations where space is limited or panel mounting is required. Features a crisp 2-inch digital display for clear temperature readout. Compatible with Type R and Type S thermocouple inputs.
Ideal for smaller furnaces, lab setups, and installations requiring a neat, panel-mounted display unit without compromising on accuracy.
Non-contact infrared temperature sensing for molten metal and high-temperature industrial surfaces.
Infrared Sensors provide non-contact, continuous temperature measurement for molten metal, furnace interiors, and high-temperature industrial surfaces. Ideal where physical immersion is not possible or practical - such as rotating equipment, moving billets, or sealed furnace environments.
Rugged industrial design ensures reliable operation in dusty, high-vibration, and high-temperature shop floor environments. Compatible with the SSS Universal Pyrometer system for integrated display and data logging.
Disposable thermocouple tips for accurate molten metal temperature measurement in all furnace types.
Thermocouple Tips are disposable sensors for measurement of molten metal temperature. The tip consists of a thermocouple cartridge fitted with standard connectors into a paper protective tube. Used in Induction Furnaces, Arc Furnaces, Ladle, LRF, AOD, VOD and similar applications.
Paper protective tube length varies from 300 mm to 1200 mm depending on furnace capacity and customer requirement.
Immersion samplers for reliable molten metal sampling at 600 mm and 900 mm lengths.
Immersion Samplers are engineered for reliable collection of molten metal samples under extreme high-temperature conditions. Available in Zirconium (ZR) and Aluminum (AL) body variants for different metal types and furnace applications.
Available in standard lengths of 600 mm and 900 mm. Custom lengths available on request.

Standard thermocouple extension cable for connecting tips to pyrometer instruments.
Compensating Cable is a lead cable used to connect Thermocouple Tips to the Temperature Measurement Instrument (Pyrometer) for measuring the temperature of molten metal. Cables are made from metallic materials having similar thermoelectric properties as the thermocouple in use.
Extension wires are made with similar material as the thermocouple element with mili-volt (e.m.f.) matched as closely as possible to the thermocouple at ambient temperature - these are the compensating wires.
Heat-resistant fiber glass insulated compensating cable for use inside the SS Lance assembly.
We supply heat resistant Fiber Glass / Fiber Glass insulated compensating cable specifically for use inside the Lance assembly. This cable has excellent heat resistance and electric insulation properties - essential for reliable operation in high-temperature environments close to the molten metal.
Also available: Teflon-Teflon stainless steel insulated and Neoprene rubber insulated compensating cable for use as trailing cable for temperature measurement.
Visual signal panel for temperature status indication on the shop floor - green, yellow and red alerts.
The Traffic Light Signal Panel provides a clear, colour-coded visual indication of the temperature status at the measurement point. Designed to work in conjunction with the Universal Pyrometer system, it displays Green, Yellow and Red signals to indicate safe, caution and critical temperature zones - enabling operators to take immediate action on the shop floor without needing to read a numerical display.
Rugged industrial housing ensures reliable operation in the dusty and high-temperature environment of steel plants and foundries.
Large Red LED display units for high-visibility temperature readout across the melt shop floor.
The Jumbo Display is a large-format Red LED display unit designed to show temperature readings from the Universal Pyrometer at distances of 150 to 200 metres. Available in three digit heights - 4 inch, 6 inch and 8 inch - to suit different shop floor sizes and viewing distances.
Connects to the SSS Universal Pyrometer via RS-485 (2-Wire) communication. Can be mounted remotely from the pyrometer - ideal for crane cabins, control rooms, and melt shop walls where operators need a clear, large-format temperature readout.
